Dropped my daughter off to school this morning.

Oh My God, This is sooo Good...

Took a carving brake to make myself a sammich...
Figured I'd wing it, and this is what I came up with :-)

Fresh, thick cut pork tenderloin steak, pan fried in soy sauce and butter, with sweet raw onions and havarti... I was right, it's fucking good ;-)

My Lucky ~ The Bratty Years ;)

It's my baby's Birthday today, well the 21st. He turned 8.
And he's still as naughty as ever, in a good way :-)
He's awesome, and really big :D

He kinda makes me feel like this... ;-)

Lucky ~ My Little Horse <3

I wanted to post some of his puppy pictures,
but the old computer is not hooked up yet.
When I get to it, I will share some :-)

Happy Hump Day!

Yep, they are pilling up. Pretty soon they'll be
snow covered, not sure I'm ready for that.

Spend part of the day yesterday fixing up the wood stove. I had to replace some parts of the stove pipes that were simply to risky to use one more year. It's always tricky to play with since nothing is properly aligned in this house. Got her all up and running and the house is warm again.

So here it is, meet my Redneck Stove.
No, it's not made out of a washer ;-)

Update to My Fire Pit Post :)

3 of you guessed right... it's a ~beeeep~

I ain't gonna tell you that right here, but if you wanna see what it looks like in the daytime, I posted another pic.

You can scroll down to find the post or just click here and I'll take you there ;-)

Speaking Of...

Playing with fire & keeping warm....

This is My Fire Pit, à la Canadian Redneck.

Can anyone guess what I used to make it?
I may have said in a comment somewhere ;-)

Well you guys figured it out,

MissK's Pussy ;)

Snatched this interesting gadget post over at Wirecutter's.
Gave me an idea for a post. Sometimes I get my inspiration from the weirdest places, no offence WC ;D

Been wanting to introduce My Pussy for a while now,
and I thought this was the purrrfect way to do it ;-)
So here she is, My Mama Cat....
Basking in the sunlight on my kitchen floor.

She's a good kitty, and since we live out in the country,
she does enjoy the occasional "crunchy" snack.  Personally,
I like the hands-off-use-a-pussy-for-best-results approach
much better then Wirecutter's little toy.
But hey, boys do like their toys ;-)

Back to My Pussy now... ;-)
Like I said, she does great work...

~ My Saturday ~

I was a Tint Virgin, Never done it before ;-)

So I looked up a few videos online. Watched the best one a couple times. Good thing, because I really had no idea about the ins and outs of getting it done like a pro.  Still talking about window tint here... ;-)

Just being silly :-) I did the back 3 window, and I think I did a pretty good job, especially since this was my first time and all... ok I'm gonna stop talking now....

I took a pic if you wanna see :-)

~ Bacon Day ~

I was sure Bacon Day had already been Celebrated this year...
But it turns out it was Pig Day, back in March. Figures that Bacon would need more then one Holiday a year... ;-)

So in honor of Bacon Day,
I offer you a Visual Bacon Tour for your taste buds...
Heck, pretty much all your senses
Enjoy ;-)

All Kinds of Awesome!! ;)

Snatched from Coop @ A Father of Four :-)

This would come in very handy at my house....

We have to watch for run away caps. My dog Lucky likes to grab them so he can barter for treats. He's a sneaky fellow, but it's easy to tell when he's got something "he knows" he shouldn't have. He'll come around the corner, stand in the doorway, and just look at me from a distance till I notice he's there. Then as soon as I move, he turns around and walks around the island in the kitchen, staying far enough away, just in case I try and catch him. The house is not that big, so it's really funny watching this big dog maneuver around the furniture. There he is laying in between the Island and the kitchen table with his "Please Feed Me" look.

Just For Fun... :)

Thought I'd share a little something I made a couple years ago. And yes, I do realize I was suppose to start with a black square. My bad :P

I was planing on retouching where the tape let in a little white over spray, especially on the bottom squares, but then I figured... Fuck it! It's mine like that, so I left it...

It's the inside of garage door number 2. The outside of the building looks old and beaten down... Perfect place to hide the cars, Incognito Style... ;-)

My Rainy Day Drive ~ Part 2

Here's a few pics I took the other day,
when we went for That Drive...
Just to give you a little idea of what the scenery looks like.
I forgot my camera, so I took these with my phone.

A Little Scenery Close to Home :)

A really good look a the River I keep mentioning. US soil to the right :-)
Not a cloud in the sky, and the river is very calm.

There's usually a few duck families around, but that day it was loons.
Pretty cool to see them dive, and not come back up... or so it seems ;-)

My Fallen Trees....

Here are the pictures I took of the two trees that fell in the storm last Sunday. Turns out we had Tornado Warnings in the area. That doesn't happen a lot around here. We lost power till later that night, why I made a Post from My Phone, my first ever. So there's a bit more detail there and in Monday's Good Morning Post

Without further ado... Here are My Trees...
and a peak at what it looks like in my parts :-)

It was still very windy when I took this pic, notice the smaller trees swaying in the back. By the way, the hillside in the background is American soil. At the base of it is the river that separates us. Yes we are that close :-) It shows up better in some of the other pics. Notice how dirty the river is too, because of the flash floods we got that day... washing out whole driveways  and destroying freshly planted farmer's fields.

This is the first one to fall, the second is right behind it. The tops laid on either side of the ditch blocking off the driveway. You can see the power lines above, where the first tree hit. At the end of the post I have a couple pictures of the trees that I took a few years ago. It gives you a much better idea of the live power cables, that are higher then the ones you see here. And of course, what the trees looked like before last Sunday.

Yes... I Own A Cannonball ;)

My Collection ~ Vintage Cast Iron ~ Part 1

We all have our little quirks... I collect old cast iron shit.
These are my favorites... I know, I'm weird.... ;-)

What I know so far....
I'm not sure about the value of them. The free weight is about 5 lbs and I haven't found much info out there about similar ones. I wonder if search engines limit the hits because of my igloo. Damn! ;-)

The cannonball I know a little more about. It's Solid Cast Iron. Some are hallow with explosives inside. This one, thank God, is solid. It's a little less then 6 inches in diameter, and weighs about 22 pounds. Heavy little sucker for it's size.

An older American gentlemen who often put on yard sales had it in his garage. I was not for sale. I just happen to notice it hiding in a corner and I just "had to have it." Honestly I did... ;-)  Over a couple years, I stopped in every time I dove by and noticed he had a sale on, to see if he still had it. He did, but still not for sale. I finally got him to sell it to me for less then 20 bucks. Then went back home to Canada with my "garage sale items" ;-)

He mentioned a few things to me that the "previous owner" had told him. According to this gentlemen, the cannonball came from the New York area and is dated back in the 1800s. I'm not sure if it has been fired or not.

Now as you all know, I'm no expert in American History and since a lot of you are quite the buffs.... maybe you can tell me if these details make any sense, and which war it could have been part of.....
